I’m Barbara, a visual artist and writer, who decided to do a blog to support my belief system that indeed, life is colorful, and should be lived in whatever way is authentic to who you really are and your purpose to mankind.
It seems like we are so busy cloning ourselves and wondering why there is no happiness in our individual lives. We couple with people we have nothing in common with other than their filling our potholes. We work at jobs that rob us of our joys; and in general, we seem to create lives with no passion and purpose. I certainly have participated in these choices.
There is a colorful world out there beyond the mountains that seem to block our panoramic view of truly living. There is indeed, “gold in dem d’air hills” for us to find and claim. And we don’t just have to claim one chuck of gold. We can have many chucks to make our life richer. For me, I have found nuggets that are somewhat connected in color but different in shape and experience. They are visual art, interior decorating, poetry and song writing. I am still available for more discoveries or to be discovered whichever the case might be. It is different for each of us. But I am convinced that until you find your match, your purpose, you will never be fulfilled. You will be living the life of someone else. Let’s share information on the journey to discover ourselves and our passions; you already know what I will be writing about, unless I discover something brand new!
I’ve been digging my way through the way I operate in the world which effects everything I do. I’m looking at guilt and blame as not existing in reality but only in language. This new premise is changing the way I relate to people, circumstances and myself. I’m not spending any time blaming others for what just is. I am trying hard not to be lead by circumstances. Most importantly, I am not willing to live in guilt and let it rob me of my few years on this earth. Life seems lighter now.
I am not addressing morality in the above statement, that is a different discussion.

We have made amazing progress towards our launch of the book. It looks like it will definitely be by the end of May. They say the “devil is in the details” but I’m claiming God’s presence in the details because that is what I’m doing.
It’s an exciting process and I know you will enjoy the final product. Will do a better job with keeping you informed.

A quick up date on the book. The book Life Iz Colorful is now complete as of January 1, 2011. We are officially copyrighted with our IBSN. The next phase is fund raising for publication.
This is getting exciting and yet surreal. It’s been four years in the making and the process has been amazing.
